About The Position

Oleon is looking for a Blending Operator for our Conroe, Texas plant. Oleon's specialty lies in converting natural fats and oils into a wide range of oleochemical products, serving markets such as cosmetics, nutrition, crop protection, industrial ingredients, lubricants, oilfield, coatings, and detergents. Oleon has over 1,000 employees worldwide in 10 different countries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment, preferably in a chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Familiarity with blending or mixing equipment and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and experience working with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments, including standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or blending operations.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate blending equipment according to production instructions, ensuring proper mixing of raw materials to create chemical products.
  • Accurately measure, load, and mix chemicals and raw materials according to specific formulations and production requirements.
  • Safely handle and work with chemicals, adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper chemical handling procedures.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products, ensuring that blends meet required specifications before moving on to the next production phase.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including raw material usage, product output, and any deviations or equipment issues.
  • Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of blending equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Work closely with the production team and other departments to maintain production schedules and meet daily targets.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors immediately.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and plant-specific safety procedures.
