Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Blending Operator to support our Supply Chain team. This role will be responsible for or activities such as blending beverages, documenting ingredients, handling raw materials, creating material usage reports, completing CIP for all blend tanks, sanitizing all tanks, operates weigh scales and unloads tankers; as well as operating/monitoring machinery used in the production process. Additional responsibilities will include: Performs activities such as blending beverages, documenting ingredients, handling raw materials, creating material usage reports, completing CIP for all blend tanks, sanitizing all tanks, operates weigh scales and unloads tankers Operates and monitors machinery used in the production process Verifies conformance to quality standards at all levels (raw, finished, ingredients, storage and transportation conditions) Performs autonomous maintenance activities such as preventative maintenance, lubrication, center lining, 5s and defect identification, sources of contamination, etc. Maintains good manufacturing practices, housekeeping standards and safety precautions Participate in periodical activities such as assisting with the cycle counts and physical inventories Performs duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of plant’s programs and initiatives (i.e.: SFTPM) All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be located in City of Industry, CA surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year blending experience
  • Experience in mixing and fillers
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a production labeler or filler operator, or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum 1 year recent work experience in a manufacturing facility, food production preferred
  • Batching experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic math & problem solving
  • Must have basic computing skills to operate and interface with manufacturing software
  • Ability to listen, understand, communicate written and verbal information and ideas
  • Ability to operate equipment and machines in an industrial environment
  • Ability to perform work within established guidelines (i.e.: and in a safe manner
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime
  • Basic knowledge of liquid transport systems such as valve matrix, pumps and pressurized vessels
  • Forklift experienced or able to get certified
