About The Position

Lesaffre is a global player in fermentation, developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative solutions for baking, food taste and enjoyment, health, and biotechnology. Envera, a legal entity of Lesaffre located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, US, specifically manufactures bacteria solutions for various market segments including wastewater treatment, bioremediation, and cleaning solutions. This role is responsible for producing finished goods using different equipment, ensuring accuracy in weighing raw materials, following recipes, recording data, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, including the use of PPE and GMPs. The operator will also measure and adjust pH, follow production schedules, execute manufacturing protocols, complete work orders, and maintain training requirements. Additionally, the role involves checking work for accuracy, maintaining a clean workspace, communicating professionally, assisting in other departments, participating in inventory, and passing a forklift license test, all while maintaining a safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the personal safety of ourselves and co-workers. Will assess, recognize, and hold individuals accountable for behaviors and results in safety for both employees and contractors.
  • Produce finished goods with varying types of sizes of equipment.
  • Ensure accuracy when weighing raw materials for use in batches.
  • Uses Batch Sheets to follow recipes for various products.
  • Record data (lot numbers, measurements, etc.) in batch sheets, checklists and logs.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, including the use of PPE and GMPs.
  • Measure and adjust pH.
  • Follow assigned production schedule and prepare materials in work areas.
  • Execute manufacturing protocols according to work instructions.
  • Complete work orders in Sage hand-held to maintain accurate records.
  • Follow directives given by Supervisors and Managers.
  • Maintain training requirements.
  • Check all work, documents and records for accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Communicate in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Assist in other departments or with other tasks as needed.
  • Ability to pass the forklift license test.
  • Participate in inventory process.
  • Continually work in a safety-conscious manner (PPE, attire, etc.).
