Blending Operator I is responsible for the efficient and accurate mixing, blending, and cooking of raw ingredients. This role involves operating large volume kettles and mixers as the primary processor of finished food grade products, often working with an assistant. The position requires strict adherence to blending recipes and HACCP steps to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards, with a strong focus on Quality and Food Safety, including Allergen Control. The operator must be able to learn, operate, and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment, including processing kettles, while maintaining an organized workspace. Responsibilities also include preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment, basic light industrial skills, machine troubleshooting, and performing viscosity and sensory testing on batches. Effective communication within the department is crucial for efficient and productive processing. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 12:45pm to 9:15pm.
