About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the development of Lakewood products. Primary duties and responsibilities include: Operation and control of the pre-production room (blending area and elaboration tanks). Operate equipment (mixers, scales, gauges, pumps, forklifts, etc.) safely. Know how to recognize any material that does not meet quality control standards and advise Quality Control or Management of the same. Keep both the mixing area and the utensils used clean and disinfected. Collaborate with product recovery and reprocessing when needed. Work under the standards fixed by the company (GFSI, ISO, GMP's, etc.). Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment for the department. Any other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule within the operating hours of the plant.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Exposure to nut allergens.
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug check.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma
• Previous knowledge or experiences that mix

Nice To Haves

• Experience within the food and beverage industry (preferred).
