About The Position

Operates mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing. This role involves loading ingredients, operating and adjusting the blending machine to achieve desired consistency, and unloading the mixture. Additionally, the position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the blender, hopper, drains, floors, and other production equipment using chemicals and specialized equipment. The role also includes transporting trash and waste, sorting pallets in specific areas, and assisting in other positions as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer or tablet.
Lift 50 pounds 500 times during the shift
Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Talk and hear
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

Loads ingredients into mixing tank and/or blender.
Starts machine and adjusts valves and devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture.
Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency, and turns lever or pushes button to unload mixture into hoppers.
Cleans and sanitizes blender and/or hopper.
Clean and sanitize drains and floors.
Uses chemicals and equipment to sanitize and clean multiple areas.
Disassembles, sanitizes, and cleans other production equipment.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
In certain areas, sorts and place leftover pallets in designated area at end of the shift.
Assists in other positions when needed.
