About The Position
The Blaster position involves operating a blasting cabinet effectively, along with testing and inspecting various parts. This role is responsible for blasting surfaces of different components to remove original finishes such as paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt. The job requires the use of basic hand tools, air tools, hoist equipment, and computers. It is a fast-paced environment that demands excellent attention to detail, strong hand dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 40lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours).
- Ability to use handheld tools such as impacts, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong hand dexterity.
- Problem-solving skills.
