About The Position

Under general supervision, responsible for preparation and blasting of customer parts according to written requirements/specifications. This position is safety-sensitive due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market. The primary duties consist of preparing and transporting customer parts for blasting, operating sandblast and related equipment, and carefully placing completed parts in proper containers for shipping or the next step in the process. The role also involves practicing and promoting safety and good housekeeping, bringing any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor, and performing other assigned tasks. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of customer inventory, requiring duties to be performed in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. Employees must be able to report to work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

Requirements

Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year in heat treating.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop.
Regularly exposed to heat, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc.
Must be able to work overtime or any shift, including weekends as needed.
Must be able to wear protective respiratory gear and other safety equipment as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment.
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
