About The Position
We are looking for a BLASTER MACHINE OPERATOR to join our Alexandria, MN plant. As a Blaster Machine Operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.
Requirements
- Ability to pass pulmonary fit test and be capable of wearing blast suit for long period of time (2+ hours).
- Ability to work with precision instruments.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read notes on drawings for project instructions.
Responsibilities
- Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
- Blasts bridges inside blast booth to remove mill scale and prep steel surface for paint.
- Perform operator maintenance on booth and spray hose.
- Check all finished work for obvious defects prior to final inspection.
- Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
