This specific role is for a full-time, entry-level engineer in the Blast Effects section at their San Antonio, TX office. The position will primarily support flammability and explosion testing, assist senior staff with explosion consequence assessments and incident investigations, and involve preparing technical proposals, reports, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or related discipline (MS or PhD preferred).
  • Ability to support multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personnel under a range of conditions (test ranges, office, industrial, and accidental explosion sites).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Field or lab-scale testing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting testing related to flammability and explosion phenomena.
  • Assisting mid-level and senior staff in explosion consequence assessments.
  • Supporting incident investigations.
  • Preparing technical proposals, reports, and presentations.
