About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Blades Senior Aircraft Technician to join our Blades Repair team based in Grand Prairie, TX. Your duties will consist of performing various functions on rotor blades - to include receiving, moving, inspection, tear down (disassembly, sanding, scraping, etc), repair (bodywork, composite layup, painting) balancing and return to service in accordance with Airbus Helicopters, Inc. documentation and procedures. Team member will be expected to ensure a quality product.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience in automotive (paint & body), aerospace, composite, wood working, and or other related skill/trade.
  • Trade school attendance/certification may be substituted for experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school
  • Five (5) years of automotive, aerospace, composite, woodworking, and/or other related skill/trade.
  • SAP background.
  • ASE, FAA Airframe Certificate and/or other trade related certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, move, clean, inspect, repair, assemble rotor blades.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, and availability of parts, supplies and tools.
  • Develop a clear understanding of methods and procedures on rotor blade repairs.
  • Able to effectively utilize all hand tools needed to execute inspection and repairs.
  • Develop skills on cleaning, sanding, body work/filling, painting on rotor blades and related components.
  • Develop skills to enable assembly of finished products.
  • Complete required documentation for rotor blade inspection and repairs.
  • Ensures work complies with customer specifications, FAA regulations, manufacturer’s applicable maintenance manuals, blueprints, RDAS, etc.
  • Correctly identifies customers (internal and external) and understands their requirements proactively.
  • Looks through the eyes of the customers and goes the extra mile to serve them.
  • Enthusiastic to support others and achieve agreed levels of service.
  • Advocate for the customer's interests rather than individual interest.
  • When aware of issues, speak up early and make them visible.
