About The Position

PENN Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Blackjack Dealer School Candidates. This role offers a unique opportunity to enter the exciting world of casino gaming through a structured, paid training program. Candidates will learn the fundamentals of Blackjack and other table games, develop essential dealer skills, and gain knowledge of company policies and gaming regulations. Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Eligible for a valid gaming license.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule – nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
  • Excited to learn at Dealer School where you’ll be trained on table games, policies, and procedures.
  • Comfortable with numbers and able to pass a basic math test during the interview.
  • Strong communication skills – fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • A passion for great customer service and building positive guest experiences.
  • High energy with a team-player mindset and the ability to handle challenges professionally.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate when handling chips, cash, and calculations.

Nice To Haves

  • The position average is based on a tip pool evenly distributed amongst each dealer each pay period.
  • Opportunities Available During Event: Part-Time Dealer Path, Full-Time Dealer / Supervisor (Dual Rate) Path.

Responsibilities

  • Complete two weeks of hands-on training focused on Blackjack fundamentals.
  • Learn the rules, procedures, and variations of Blackjack and other table games.
  • Develop skills in handling cards, chips, and cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Understand game security and how to protect company assets while ensuring fair play.
  • Practice delivering excellent guest service by engaging with players in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Gain knowledge of company policies, departmental procedures, and state gaming regulations.
  • Deal shifts as a Part-Time Dealer after passing the audition.
  • Begin a Dual (Dealer/Supervisor) Role during the first 90 days for the Full-Time path, dealing 4 days/week and supervising 1 day/week.
  • Receive ongoing shadowing and mentorship as you transition into leadership.
