About The Position

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a friendly, dependable Bistro Server who enjoys working with people and takes pride in good service. You'll help guests start their morning or settle in for the evening with freshly prepared food, coffee, and beverages. Guests count on the Bistro for convenient meals and friendly service. Your attention to detail and follow-through help make their stay better.

Requirements

A welcoming attitude, clear communication, and a commitment to reliable attendance.
The initiative to see what needs to be done and follow through.
The ability to handle several orders, stay organized, and remain professional during busy periods.
Availability for early mornings or evenings, including weekends and holidays, based on the assigned schedule.
The ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and perform routine food service duties.

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant, café, barista, or hotel food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests, explain menu options, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
Prepare and serve coffee, specialty drinks, and menu items according to hotel standards.
Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Keep the Bistro, dining area, equipment, and workstations clean, stocked, and ready for service.
Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, restocking, and cleaning.
Follow food safety procedures and responsible alcohol service requirements when applicable.
Work with your team to keep service moving and address guest requests promptly.
Clock in and get set for service—checking the Bistro area, stocking what’s needed, and prepping items so the line stays moving.
During peak times, greet guests, keep the dining area tidy, clear and reset tables, and stay attentive to pacing.
Between rushes, wash and put away dishes, wipe down surfaces, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
When deliveries arrive, help put away truck orders and rotate product, making sure items are dated correctly.
At close, wrap up with cleanup and a final check so the next shift starts strong.
