About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Bistro Dining Room Attendant. The role involves ensuring the cleanliness and proper stocking of the dining room, managing food and equipment temperatures, and assisting with food preparation and service. The attendant will also be responsible for waste removal and cleaning various areas within the dining room and service areas, using commercial cleaning chemicals. The position requires taking ownership of the workstation and utilizing student employee support, with flexibility for additional duties as business needs arise.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
Computing skills to make cash change, track inventory, create number of pieces for a portion by performing adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
Ability to read on a level to comprehend product labels, recipes and safety instructions
Ability to interact with customers, coworkers, and vendors in a diplomatic manner
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a variety of locations and determine the order and sequence with limited daily supervisory direction.

Responsibilities

Take proper food and equipment temperatures.
Responsible for the cleanliness, appearance and proper stocking of dining room supplies.
Replaces and stocks beverages such as milk, soda syrup or cartridges, and ice.
Restocks condiments and paper goods such as cups, napkins, creamer, sugar and toppings.
Places food on trays, baskets or dispensers for self-service.
Restocks grab-and-go areas with prepackaged items.
Removes trash to the dumpsters.
Cleans tables, chairs, floors, trash and service areas.
Uses commercial strength chemicals to clean, sanitize and polish.
Takes ownership for the workstation utilizing student employee support.
Perform any duties as assigned based on business needs.
