About The Position

The Bistro Attendant is responsible for providing personalized service to all guests, setting up and maintaining the Bistro according to brand standards, and preparing various food and beverage items. This role involves ensuring the breakfast area is clean and well-stocked, managing inventory, and acting as a hospitable host to guests. The attendant must follow established service procedures, handle guest complaints appropriately, and assist with ordering supplies.

Requirements

  • Food Handler Certification
  • Smart Serve Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized service to all guests.
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining the Bistro as per brand standards.
  • Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand.
  • Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, breads, pastries, coffee.
  • Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products.
  • Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
  • Preparing and setting up hot food items.
  • Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
  • Maintain the breakfast area in a clean condition during the hours of operation.
  • Sanitizing tables and chairs as they are vacated.
  • Washing serving equipment and returning to storage.
  • Check the cleaning frequency chart and do the required cleaning each day.
  • Function as a pleasant, hospitable host by greeting guests and offering assistance.
  • Be sure that established service procedures are followed at all times. Thank the guest, and ask him/her to come back again.
  • Advise the Front Office or General Manager of any complaints so that they can be rectified immediately.
  • Responsible for checking inventory levels of all food, beverages and supply items on the buffet and replenish them as needed for each day.
  • Assist Bistro Supervisor, Operations Manager or General Manager with ordering or purchasing food supplies.
