About The Position
NORY is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their Birthday Party Team as Birthday Party Teachers. This role involves creating magical and engaging STEM-focused birthday experiences for children. The position offers STEM training, opportunities for future teaching roles in other NORY programs, and the chance to be part of a mission to make learning fun and meaningful.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience teaching children and facilitating engaging activities and events.
- Genuine love for children and a knack for turning every birthday into an unforgettable adventure.
- Ability to transform routine activities into lively, laughter-filled moments.
- Masterful organizational and behavioral management skills to ensure smooth-sailing festivities.
- Steadfast punctuality and professionalism, even when in the midst of wild party fun.
Nice To Haves
- Theater or acting background, or a passion for crafting immersive experiences for kids.
Responsibilities
- Craft magical birthday moments with engaging STEM projects.
- Transform routine activities into lively, laughter-filled moments.
- Ensure smooth-sailing festivities through masterful organizational and behavioral management skills.
- Arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early for material setup.
- Conduct lesson plan review, occasional training, and post-event clean-up.
- Collect and return materials to NORY HQ in Midtown Manhattan, unless specified otherwise.
