About The Position

Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Biotechnology and Quantum Modeling SETA to support an innovative program. You will focus on the development and management of cutting-edge programs exploring biological-metal interactions, quantum mechanical modeling, and scalable biotechnological systems. You will bring a multidisciplinary background spanning computational biology, biophysics, chemistry, and advanced modeling techniques. You will support program development, technical evaluation, and research integration across diverse scientific domains. Responsibilities include contributing to process scale-up efforts (bench to pilot), modular biotechnological system design, high-throughput metallo-biology assessments, and development of quantum and molecular models. In addition, you will also support Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications for environmental and hierarchical modeling, assist in the development of process-flow sheets, and contribute to business and IP strategy considerations. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role requires translating complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences and synthesizing insights across multiple research areas. Additional responsibilities include briefing support, coordination activities, and general programmatic and administrative support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in scientific research, technical program support, or SETA roles.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: computational biology, quantum mechanical modeling, biophysics, biochemistry, or materials science.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly.
  • Experience supporting research programs, including test and evaluation, data analysis, or technical assessments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support both technical and administrative functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Experience with metallo-biology, coordination chemistry, or second-order molecular interactions.
  • Familiarity with synthetic biology, genetics, or geochemistry.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications in scientific or environmental modeling.
  • Knowledge of process scale-up, modular system design, or solvent extraction processes.
  • Experience with intellectual property, patent law, or technology licensing.
  • Prior experience supporting R&D organizations.
