About The Position

The Biotechnologist I helps produce therapeutic proteins in a regulated manufacturing environment as part of a supportive team. The position involves operating production equipment, carrying out manufacturing and laboratory processes, safely handling materials, maintaining equipment and facilities, and supporting troubleshooting, documentation review, shift handovers, and continuous improvement. The role is based on-site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and follows a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a repeating rotating schedule: two days on, two off, three on, two off, two on, and three off.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow procedures in a regulated environment.
Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
GMP experience.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment, including CIP and SIP processes.
Execute manufacturing processes by following SOPs and good documentation practices.
Perform laboratory tasks such as pH testing, conductivity testing, and product sampling.
Move and transfer materials across production areas safely and accurately.
Maintain equipment and facilities through routine cleaning and sanitization.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and support documentation review.
Participate in shift handovers, meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
