About The Position

The Future Talent Program features summer internships that will include one or more projects. In BARDS (Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences), a distinguished department within our company's renowned Research and Development division, quantitative scientists, in partnership with other subject matter experts, apply state-of-the art scientific methodologies and tools to enable the discovery, development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and marketing of medical drugs and vaccines for the benefit of patients and global human health. The department is hiring interns for Preclinical Biostatistics and Clinical Biostatistics and seeking students enrolled in an MS or PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics. In these internships, you will work closely with an experienced pharmaceutical industry statistician to perform statistical analysis of data from and/or statistical research related to basic drug research, clinical pharmacology, drug and vaccine development, biomarker development, pharmacogenomics, AI/ML, health technology assessment or methodological research.

Requirements

Currently enrolled students who have completed at least (2) semesters of graduate work towards an MS or PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics by May 2027.
Available to work full-time for 12 weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Good working knowledge of SAS, S-Plus, and/or R.

Responsibilities
