About The Position
The College of Nursing (CON) at the University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK), the state’s flagship research institution, seeks a Biostatistician. This role will provide leadership in developing and delivering statistical, data management, and data science support for health-focused research for various clients across different subject areas within the College of Nursing. The Biostatistician is an individual contributor responsible for complex, interrelated data projects. This position requires independent work in complex and strategic areas, involving data analysis, report writing, and collaboration with faculty on research project design. A successful candidate will possess a strong background in health/medical science, extensive knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g., R, SAS, STATA, SPSS), and expertise in the theory and application of probability and statistics. Experience and proficiency with data security and confidentiality are essential.
