The Biostatistician is the quantitative foundation of Hi Rasmus’s Research & Clinical Impact team. This senior, hands-on, function-building role is the team’s first hire and is responsible for conducting analyses while establishing the statistical methods and technical standards that future work will build on. The role reports to the Head of Research & Clinical Impact and partners closely with Data & Engineering, Clinical Product Strategy, Product, and Legal & Compliance. The Biostatistician owns statistical methods and analyses used to measure clinical impact across access, learner outcomes, and social validity. Working with real-world clinical data from care organizations of varying sizes and models, the role develops fair benchmarks and interpretation methods, validates measures, and assesses what the evidence can responsibly support. The work informs research reports, product decisions, customer conversations, and payer discussions, with scientific conclusions reported as favorable, mixed, or inconclusive according to the evidence. The role designs and executes analyses suited to observational data, including approaches to confounding, missing data, clustered data, and repeated measures. It also supports prospective studies, research protocols, IRB submissions, publications, white papers, conference presentations, the annual Hi Rasmus Clinical Impact Report, and evidence or measurement frameworks for payer and value-based care initiatives. The position has authority to choose statistical methods within the research agenda and study designs overseen by the Head, and to set standards for documenting, reproducing, and reviewing analyses. Product owns implementation and prioritization of product capabilities. The successful candidate is a rigorous, collaborative quantitative scientist who can communicate complex findings and their limitations to clinical, executive, and non-technical audiences. They value qualitative and lived-experience evidence alongside quantitative evidence, maintain scientific independence, and are motivated to help define meaningful measures of quality, outcomes, and value in autism care. This is a full-time, exempt position based remotely in the United States. Compensation is $112,000 to $132,000 annually.
