About The Position

The Biostatistician is responsible for performing statistical analysis projects using SAS and/or S-PLUS. This role involves conducting analyses, collaborating with the Biostatistics team, and serving as a statistical consultant to CAP members, committees, and staff. The position also requires providing programming expertise on assigned projects. Key duties include providing statistical and data analysis expertise for study design, data management, and statistical analyses; collaborating on analysis plans and timelines; conducting individual analyses with programming in SAS and/or S-PLUS; consulting with CAP staff and committee members; assisting in manuscript development and review; analyzing and troubleshooting data anomalies with PT Operations and Technical staff; and consulting with Senior Biostatisticians on statistical issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field.
  • Two to five years statistical experience, preferably in the medical field.
  • Five years of experience in SAS and/or R required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to independently write programs in statistical analysis software packages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate statistical and data analysis expertise for designing studies, managing data, and conducting statistical analyses.
  • Collaborate with project partners to prepare analysis plans for each assigned project, including a timeline for deliverables.
  • Conduct individual analyses on projects, including programming assignments in SAS and/or S-PLUS.
  • Provide statistical consulting with assigned CAP staff and/or committee members.
  • Assist in the development and review of committee manuscripts.
  • Partner with PT Operations and Technical staff to analyze and troubleshoot data anomalies.
  • Work with CAP Biostatistics programming staff on jointly assigned programs.
  • Consult with Senior Biostatisticians on statistical issues.
