City of Hope is seeking a skilled Biostatistician III to partner with principal investigators and research teams across departments. In this role, you will shape research projects, analyze clinical trial data, and collaborate with faculty statisticians and database experts to ensure rigorous scientific methods and high-quality results. You will also support clinical trial database infrastructure, contribute to grant proposals, build strong partnerships with investigators, and serve as a trusted resource for divisional statisticians and staff.

Requirements

Master's Degree in statistics, biostatistics or a closely related field.
Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
5 years of experience in biostatistical consulting and analysis.
Strong knowledge of statistical software packages including SAS and Splus or R, as well as other relevant tools such as advanced SQL queries, SAS Internet, SAS BI, web-related programming tools, or specialized tools for statistical computing.
Experience with graphics, spreadsheet and word-processing software in a windows environment.

Responsibilities

Consult with principal investigators across departments and contribute to grant proposals and manuscripts.
Independently perform statistical analyses and provide expertise in statistical methodology and database computing.
Lead or collaborate on research and development projects that apply statistical and computing methods to medical and biological research.
Support research design, quality control, analysis, and reporting across City of Hope’s Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute.
Partner with senior divisional staff to develop and maintain database infrastructure for clinical and biological research.
Monitor data quality across assigned protocols or defined segments of the research database.
Train and support the onboarding of new statistical staff.
Plan and monitor special projects, maintain required departmental records and reports, and document computer programs and electronic databases.
