About The Position

OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center. This role is within the Clinical Trials Office and is essential for advancing groundbreaking cancer research and supporting patient care by managing the logistics of critical supplies, equipment, research materials, mail, and shipments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, proactive, enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
24 months of experience working in shipping & receiving.

Responsibilities

Oversee the safe and efficient receiving, delivery, storage, and shipment of materials throughout the building.
Receive, inspect, and sign for incoming deliveries.
Sort incoming deliveries and identify the correct destination for misaddressed items.
Coordinate incoming deliveries and direct delivery drivers to maintain an organized and operational loading dock area.
Sort and distribute incoming postal mail throughout the building.
Collect and prepare outgoing mail for pickup by Central Mail Services.
Verify invoices and shipping documentation against incoming and outgoing shipments.
Stage, organize, and coordinate outgoing shipments.
Contact departments regarding deliveries requiring special handling or shipping arrangements.
Troubleshoot shipping, receiving, and delivery issues and resolve problems efficiently.
Establish and maintain effective delivery routes to support operational efficiency.
Monitor storage areas and ensure materials are properly organized and secured.
Assist with facility management tasks and support operational needs as assigned.
Provide outstanding customer service to researchers, clinical staff, vendors, and visitors.
