About The Position

The primary role of the Bioprocess Associate I is working on assignments that train for proficiency in the operation of production equipment within Manufacturing Operations (Inoculum, Cell Culture, and Purification) according to detailed procedures and batch records while ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety requirements. Work is performed in a medium-scale production facility with classified areas requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), specified gowning, and clean hygiene to maintain established environmental specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to adhere to written instruction, verify data, and accurately document results.
Ability to collaborate with teammates to execute scheduled work safely and compliantly.
Familiarity with common computer tools, such as web-based applications.
Possess a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to learn and contribute to a culture of excellence.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S. in science, engineering, biochemistry, or related discipline or its equivalent is desired.
Experience in aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture is desired.
Familiarity with general chemistry, microbiology, or clean room operations
Prior manufacturing experience
Prior experience with cGMP operations or aseptic technique

Responsibilities

Train for proficiency in the set-up, operation, and cleaning of production and support equipment within assigned functional area(s).
Prepare buffers, media, and reagents.
Work as a dependable member of a team demonstrating commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
Recognize and report safety, quality, and maintenance events to area management.
Maintain accurate documentation.
Monitor process parameters and escalate abnormal conditions.
Sustain a clean and orderly work environment.
Achieve and maintain proficiency through training.
