The Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) Group is the largest network of harmonized bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratories worldwide, offering comprehensive CMC laboratory services across all stages of drug development and functional areas of manufacturing. The company is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Inside Business Development Specialist to join its business development team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about science and innovation but prefer not to work in a lab, enjoy learning and building relationships, and are seeking a sales career where performance is directly rewarded. As a key member of the team, the specialist will be at the forefront of biopharmaceutical drug development, enabling clients to innovate life-changing therapies by forging and maintaining relationships and providing comprehensive laboratory services to pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies.

  • Customer service, sales experience, or laboratory experience
  • Live within 20 miles of Eurofins BPT San Diego site
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Development colleagues to achieve annual territory revenue targets
  • Proactively identify and engage with potential clients through email outreach, outbound calling, and follow-up communication to generate new business opportunities that align with operational capabilities and capacity
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine their needs, project timeline, and budget
  • Educate potential clients on Eurofins BPT capabilities, offering tailored solutions based on their specific product and regulatory phase
  • Manage the full sales cycle including working closely with technical teams to create customized proposals that align with client requirements, follow up on opportunities until closure, and transfer new accounts and projects to Project Management
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline status, and key performance metrics
  • Support resolution of service issues between clients and lab operations
  • Travel periodically to visit clients and prospects with Regional Sales Managers
  • Facilitate on-site technical visits for clients and prospects
