Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, customer success, or vendor relations.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline from initial outreach to close, including lead qualification, quoting, and follow‑up.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, cold-calling, and bonus points if you enjoy getting creative with your approach.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment.
  • High level of accuracy, accountability, and customer‑service orientation.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable shifting priorities as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRMs, ERP systems, or customer portals is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive outbound activity through cold calls, creative outreach strategies, and follow‑up campaigns to vendor leads, inbound inquiries, and dormant accounts.
  • Qualify new prospects by identifying needs, budgets, timelines, and key decision‑makers.
  • Partner with sales leadership to uncover strategic growth opportunities within assigned territories or verticals.
  • Support broader business development initiatives as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely customer quotes.
  • Process purchase orders while ensuring pricing, terms, and delivery expectations are correct.
  • Manage quote logs, open orders, and backlog reports through internal systems or customer account portals.
  • Track, review, and follow up on open opportunities, quotes, and pending order activities.
  • Provide additional sales support to keep deals moving smoothly.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day‑to-day customer inquiries.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend solutions that drive satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate, on‑time delivery.
