About The Position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Technician (Biomed I) for an onsite position supporting their Medical Group. This role involves travel. The Clinical Engineering (Clinical Asset Management) team at BJC HealthCare provides operational support and maintenance management for diagnostic, treatment, and patient support technologies. Their services include planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, operational support for technology-dependent functions, support for Risk Management and EH&S, technology asset management (acquisition and disposal), maintenance contract management, and capital project planning and management. The mission of Clinical Engineering is to provide a team of empowered professionals dedicated to continuous improvement in patient care and equipment planning & support technologies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in Engineering/Biomed Eng/related
• <2 years experience
• < 2 years Supervisor Experience
• Biomedical (License & Certification)

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment and devices to bring them up to the original manufacturers’ specifications.
• Conducts analyses to identify symptoms, definition of problems, option comparisons, appropriate solutions, implementation, and evaluation of results, troubleshooting if necessary.
• Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
