The Biomedical Technician I is an entry level position for individuals with foundational education in electronics or biomedical technology and limited hands on experience. Working under close supervision, the Biomedical Technician I performs basic preventive maintenance and corrective repairs while developing skills necessary to support increasingly complex medical equipment. This role supports safe, reliable patient care and provides a structured pathway for progression to Biomedical Technician II. The Biomedical Technician II is an experienced technician capable of independently performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a broad range of medical devices. This role supports moderate to high acuity equipment and functions with minimal supervision while contributing to departmental efficiency, compliance, and mentorship of entry level technicians. The Biomedical Technician III is a senior level individual contributor responsible for advanced maintenance and repair of high acuity, life support, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical equipment. This role serves as a technical authority within the department and supports compliance, quality improvement, and mentoring of other technicians.
