The Biomedical Technician II responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, perform repair/planned maintenance (PM) on progressively complex customer's biomedical equipment, and drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. This position works 3rd shift, with hours typically from Sunday night to Thursday morning (10pm-9am) or Wednesday night to Sunday morning (10pm-9am). The role involves performing planned maintenance, safety and environmental inspections, and maintaining effective customer relations. Technicians are expected to follow GE policies, hospital protocols, and complete necessary documentation. They will also partner with teammates, communicate proactively with customers, and implement GE/customer facility contracts. This role may also involve leading and instructing other technicians, sharing on-call responsibilities, documenting repairs, maintaining parts inventory, and managing vendor service delivery. Continuous enhancement of technical knowledge and compliance with regulatory requirements are essential. In some cases, the technician may serve as a Site Leader, directing activities of other technicians and engaging in a more interactive customer relationship.
