About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II - COE primarily works at an assigned location, conducting cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and meet customers’ needs. They perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology. Alternative qualifications include Equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repairs on various General Biomedical Equipment or demonstrated knowledge in a specialized equipment area such as anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory or sterilizers.
  • Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
  • Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
  • The ability to provide technical training to other employees in areas such as equipment operation, check-out procedures, preventive maintenance, repair, quality management and/or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) practices, procedures and documentation.
  • Must maintain proper credentialing and vaccinations to work within customer locations.
  • The ability to travel a minimum of 30% annually, including overnight extended stay, to support business needs.
  • Willingness to help with Field based biomedical accounts and support Inventory projects and customer implementations.
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on various medical devices.
  • Completes all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
  • Communicates with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
