About The Position

Support the Philips Multi-Vendor Services (MVS) business as a Biomedical Equipment Site Lead for customers in the Poughkeepsie, NY area. You will assume a leadership role for an empowered area of responsibility to manage and foster strong customer relationships through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites. Your role: Lead identification and resolution of customer issues through proactive communication, coordination with site personnel, and development of solutions beyond break and fix support. Address complex situations with urgency, managing multiple priorities while aligning actions with site leadership and customer needs. Perform preventative maintenance (PM), Field Change Orders (FCOs), installations, and service repairs while diagnosing and resolving electronic, network, and mechanical issues. Utilize service manuals and training (on-the-job, OEM, third party) to deliver timely resolutions and provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to service staff. Deliver exceptional customer service by setting realistic expectations, meeting commitments, and building trust with end users and site leadership. Focus on both resolving equipment issues and understanding broader customer impact and business priorities. Drive process improvements, identify skill gaps, and support team development and cross training. May participate in or consult on hospital committees or initiatives with prior management approval. Perform all administrative duties within established Philips, State, and Federal regulatory requirements and timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, FCOs, PM, installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork. Adhere to established training, quality, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a medical service environment
  • 1+ years of direct and/or indirect experience in a leadership/supervisory capacity
  • Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.
  • Associate degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and above listed experience.
  • Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital/healthcare environment; adhere to requirements.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed based on business needs (i.e., 2nd or 3rd shifts; weekends, on-call; mandatory extra hours dependent on workload).
  • Safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials; wear all required personal protective equipment.
