About The Position
The Biomedical Sciences Teaching Faculty role involves team-based delivery of an innovative medical curriculum and academic service to the college, university, and profession. Faculty facilitate case-based learning and participate in mentoring and advising medical students. The position is open rank, with qualifications for Assistant Professor and advanced positions described separately.
Requirements
- For Assistant Professor candidates: a doctoral degree and postdoctoral experience.
- Demonstrated success working well with faculty, administrators, and students in an educational environment.
- Knowledge of education pedagogy, assessment, and trends in medical education.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Passion for and commitment to medical student education.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching experience is preferred for Assistant Professor candidates.
- For advanced positions: extensive teaching experience in medical education, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and demonstrated management and leadership capabilities.
