This position is for a full-time preclinical faculty member with a terminal degree in one of the Biomedical Sciences disciplines. The position requires work in the areas of teaching, research and scholarly activity, service to the institution, and administrative duties in the form of course directing throughout the academic year. This faculty member will teach discipline specific biomedical science lectures in applicable courses within a framework of osteopathic principles and practices and Catholic bioethics to train and form SOM students for the application of basic science to the clinical setting. This position will also provide service to the SOM via committee work and student mentoring as well as participate in research and scholarly activity, and direct preclinical courses as assigned. The position will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in the School of Osteopathic Medicine based on qualifications and experience. Tenure is not awarded upon hire but will be awarded in accordance with the SOM Tenure and Promotion Policy.
