About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I conducts cost-effective maintenance on company- and customer-owned medical equipment, primarily at customer sites, to ensure equipment functions properly and meets customer needs. The role performs operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service.

Requirements

Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology; equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) are alternative qualifications.
Basic computer skills and an understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
Safe driving record in accordance with Agiliti policies.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
May be required to obtain certain vaccinations or provide proof of current vaccination status based on customer or company requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct cost-effective inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair of various medical devices.
Perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service.
Complete paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to support documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
Communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality.
