About This Role: Maintain & Repair Biomedical Equipment- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs on biomedical and clinical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation while quickly troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues. Support Equipment Installation & Lifecycle Management- Install, configure, test, and validate new or relocated medical equipment while assisting with equipment evaluations, upgrades, replacements, and proper decommissioning processes. Partner with Clinical Teams- Work closely with clinical staff to communicate equipment status, respond to service requests, and provide basic troubleshooting guidance to promote proper equipment use and minimize service interruptions. Coordinate Vendor & Service Support- Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and third-party service providers for repairs, parts procurement, calibration services, and warranty support while monitoring the quality of work performed. Ensure Documentation, Compliance & Continuous Improvement- Maintain accurate service records, support regulatory compliance, participate in on-call service needs, travel to supported locations, and contribute to initiatives that improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment, Engineering, Technology or a related field, or commensurate education and experience required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing biomedical and clinical equipment, demonstrating strong technical and mechanical aptitude in identifying and resolving equipment issues.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office applications, and standard technical documentation practices to track service activities, maintain maintenance records, and support regulatory compliance.
  • Must have current Florida Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification preferred
