About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician Level III is a senior role responsible for performing advanced maintenance, calibration, and repair on a wide array of biomedical equipment. This position requires extensive technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and train junior staff. The technician will also be involved in project management and equipment planning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or an Associate degree with equivalent experience.
Four to ten (4-10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and lead a team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management systems
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without and employer sponsored visa.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced maintenance, calibration, and repairs on complex biomedical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, utilizing advanced technical knowledge.
Ensure all biomedical equipment meets industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair actions.
Provide mentorship, training, and support to junior technicians and clinical staff.
Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support, equipment updates, and recalls.
Participate in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of new biomedical equipment.
Manage projects related to biomedical equipment installation and upgrades.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Assist with equipment procurement and lifecycle management.
Participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement initiatives.
Support compliance initiatives related to equipment tracking and maintenance records.
Support inventory management and tracking of biomedical equipment.
Assist in risk assessment and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
