A Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) utilizes traditional engineering expertise to analyze and resolve issues concerning the design, development, and safety testing of biomedical equipment. This role acts as the primary action officer for maintenance-related acquisition support, fielding, and sustainment of medical laboratory equipment, contact patient monitoring systems, and digital imaging/radiographic equipment. The position may also involve providing leadership and/or supervisory oversight to other BMETs.
