About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician III for Wyckoff Heights Medical Center located in Brooklyn, NY. Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with a proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to support Healthcare Technology services.

Requirements

• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Experience with medical repairs
• The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
• Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
• Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
• 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.
• Provide timely and efficient service while prioritizing urgent repair needs.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.
• Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
