About The Position
We are seeking a Biomed Equipment Technician Apprentice to join our team in Stockton, CA. In this role, you will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to learn how to install, maintain, and repair medical equipment. You will also assist in conducting safety inspections and calibrations on a variety of biomedical equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must pass federal background and drug screen (no exceptions)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Interest in biomedical equipment technology and BMET courses completed preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment for healthcare facilities and state prisons within California
- Learn to conduct safety inspections and calibrations on biomedical equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing necessary repairs
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
