About The Position

Sodexo's Healthcare Technology Management Division seeks an experienced, reliable, & personable Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 for University Hospitals - Portage Medical Center, located in Ravenna, OH to support Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) for University Hospitals Health System - East Market. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.

Requirements

Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified.

Nice To Haves

Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices- ESU’s, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, Telemetry, IV Infusion Pumps, and Patent Monitoring Systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.
Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care
Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology based problems and solutions
Solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints
Prepare required documentation and reports
Ensure regulatory compliance
Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service
Demonstrate a safety mindset
