The Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 is responsible for reviewing work orders and preventive maintenance tasks to determine work priorities. This role schedules the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, either through self-performance or delegation. The technician directs maintenance activities on biomedical equipment to ensure the highest standards for safety, quality, and availability. Key responsibilities include managing the CMMS database, coordinating special projects, requisitioning necessary tools, equipment, and supplies, and directing the training of workers to improve performance and ensure adherence to Mercyhealth policies. The role also involves conferring with leadership, customers, and quality assurance staff to resolve maintenance problems and recommend improvements, as well as assisting the Manager in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures. The Supervisor acts as the department representative and liaison with internal customers.
