CICONIX, LLC is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician to support the The United States Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) Research Directorate, Logistics Division in Fort Sam Houston, TX. This role involves evaluating, repairing, installing, maintaining, calibrating, and inspecting a variety of medical research equipment and instrumentation. The technician will conduct inspections of new equipment, ensure research equipment meets specifications, and perform repairs on electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment. This includes troubleshooting, identifying issues, and replacing defective components. The position also requires performing scheduled preventive maintenance inspections, documenting all maintenance and repair activities in the designated system of record, and providing technical assistance and training to research staff. The technician will ensure the adequacy of medical research equipment, networking, and LAN integration, and assist with the installation of new devices and services performed by commercial vendors. A key part of the role involves operating a wide variety of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), assisting with modification requirements including software upgrades, and testing/classifying equipment for serviceability. The technician will also input and update information into the DMLSS database system or equivalent, respond to equipment hazard alerts and recalls, and perform inventory assessments.
