About The Position

Sodexo's Healthcare Technology Management Division seeks an experienced, reliable, & personable HTM Supervisor- Healthcare/ Biomed for PIH Health Whittier Hospital on site located in Whittier, California. This is an on-site position. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required. The position involves overseeing biomedical equipment services including vendor management, regulatory compliance, and project management. The role may require local travel to accounts and clinics in the area. The manager will lead technicians in accomplishing goals, develop a team of biomedical professionals, coordinate preventative maintenance scheduling, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 10 years of biomed experience with 2-3 years of lead or supervisor experience in a healthcare acuity setting.
  • Formal training and experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices.
  • Experience servicing senior BMET level equipment and areas (e.g., Ventilators, Anesthesia, Telemetry, Patient Monitors, Critical Care, ER, OR, ICU, Lab, and GI).
  • Working knowledge of healthcare technology operations and biomedical equipment.
  • Supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Microsoft Excel experience is required.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • The ability to be organized, resourceful, adept at making decisions and managing budgets.
  • Strong service focus to include the ability to engage staff, vendors, and client to ensure service is continually sustained at a high level.
  • Leadership capabilities to oversee operations, client relations, and supervise their technician and engineering staff.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years Minimum Management Experience.
  • 3 years Minimum Functional Experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or a related field.
