The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for supporting research activities involving wearable sensors, physiological monitoring systems, and related biomedical technologies. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining research devices and study materials; assisting with laboratory-based and human-subject research procedures; collecting, transferring, organizing, and performing routine quality control of research data; and supporting preliminary data processing and analysis. The Biomedical Engineer also assists with equipment tracking, laboratory organization, inventory and supplies, study logistics, and preparation of research outputs, including datasets, figures, tables, presentations, and publications. Work is performed according to established research protocols and under the direction of senior research personnel.
