Biomedical Data Scientist

Children's Tumor Foundation•New York, NY
•$65,000 - $80,000•Remote

About The Position

The Biomedical Data Scientist will drive the Children’s Tumor Foundation’s efforts to turn neurofibromatosis (NF) data into actionable insights for drug discovery. Working with CTF’s Science teams, the role integrates research, clinical, and publicly available data to identify and prioritize therapeutic opportunities across NF1, NF2-related schwannomatosis, and non-NF2-related schwannomatosis. The position also stewards CTF’s NF data ecosystem, leads its AI-enabled research resource for the NF community, and shares data and findings with the broader research community. The role serves as CTF’s subject matter expert for the NF Data Portal and associated analysis platforms, works with data vendors and external partners, and leads integrated data analyses to identify and validate therapeutic targets. It evaluates and applies emerging AI and computational approaches, administers CTF’s Anthropic (Claude) workspace for the NF community, and collaborates with researchers and key opinion leaders on publications, conference presentations, workshops, and open-source resources. This is a remote, full-time, exempt position in the Scientific/Research/Clinical department. It reports to the Director Preclinical Initiatives. Flexible overnight business travel may be required, as well as evening and weekend work as needed. The position requires the ability to lift 25 lbs.
