About The Position
The BMET 1 position is an entry level position. The technician maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of a limited scope of biomedical equipment under the guidance and direct supervision of an experienced healthcare technology management (HTM) professional. (Guidelines)The BMET 1 will demonstrate basic knowledge of the job, activity or function, needs supervision or mentoring on advanced assignments.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a Related Field
- Experience In Lieu of Education
Responsibilities
- Electrical and electronic theory including discrete components, integrated circuits, and microprocessors; test equipment such as oscilloscopes, analog and digital multimeters, signal generators, frequency counters, and special instrumentation designed for testing electronics
