Biomed Service Specialist– Field Technician
About The Position
As a Biomedical Services Specialist at DaVita, you’ll be trained to repair & regularly service our Dialysis Machines. You will become part of a Team that values work-life balance and where your personal and professional growth is a top priority. This will mainly cover our Rockfield, IL area. DaVita has an open position for a Biomedical Services Specialist who keeps our life-giving dialysis treatments "up and running" every day in our clinics! If you love repairing engines or other types of machines, are the person your friends and family turn to when something is broken, thrive in a demanding environment, and enjoy having fun at work, you could play a vital role as one of DaVita's clinic guardians.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (GED) – Accredited HSD or GED REQUIRED at time of Onboarding.
- A valid driver’s license within the state you are applying for work.
- Valid automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record.
- Reside fairly close to the clinics & Hospitals located in this area for adequate emergency response coverage.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.
- Mechanical abilities, repairs, strong electronics knowledge & diagnostics, preferred (Possibly performed this type of work at some point in the past, or have a demonstrated aptitude for it) – WE WILL TRAIN & CERTIFY the right candidate for the role.
- Great communications skills.
- Tech Savvy, can troubleshoot with ease.
- Solid computer skills – MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook), the internet, and DaVita-specific applications.
- Solid internet navigation and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities
- Repair and regularly service Dialysis Machines.
- Keep dialysis treatments "up and running" every day in our clinics.
- Be available for on-call rotations when needed to meet the needs of the clinics, no matter what time the request comes in.
