This position reports to the Manager, Quality and Regulatory Affairs and works with all Blood Center operating departments to ensure calibrations and equipment repairs are carried out according to regulations set by FDA, AABB and other accrediting agencies that audit RIBC. This position is key to ensuring consistent documentation of repairs to critical equipment used in the collection, processing and storage of blood products. In addition the Bio Med Technician is responsible for developing and tracking the assets of all operating departments and maintaining the central temperature monitoring system.
