This role asks you to bring your expertise in engineering and bioengineering/biomechanics, specifically involving human body kinematics and kinetics or injury research, to determine how and why an injury occurred from an engineering standpoint. You will work alongside nationally respected experts on casework that is consequential to industry and society, and you will keep learning for the rest of your career. Prior forensic experience is not required; Robson Forensic will train you to apply your expertise in a forensic setting, based on their experience of nearly 40 years in providing expert witness services. You will analyze the forces and motions involved to figure out if the alleged injuries are consistent with the event. Areas of investigation include injury biomechanics/orthopedic biomechanics applied to events such as vehicle collisions, sports & recreation, occupation, assaults, falls, etc. It is extremely challenging work, but also an intellectually thrilling and rewarding experience.
